Covage is a telecom infrastructure operator focused on fiber networks.
It deploys and operates fiber networks such as :
on behalf of local authorities which delegate the fiber deployment and the network management. Covage therefore builds networks and resells them exclusively to telecom operators, who then provide marketing and service.
Covage is currently building and managing nearly 50 networks nationwide and is in the process of pivoting from FTTO service resale to FTTH passive management. SpikeeLabs is assisting them ex-tensively in this transition on a number of projects to remodel their information systems:
Based on our "BillingsLabs" software stack, the Covage billing solution so called 'B2Bill' allows them to bill customers of the 50 subsidiaries of the group for all their offerings. The system collects orders in existing systems and generates invoices.
To allow optimal management of its sales force, Covage decided to install a Sales Force Automation tool combined with a new CRM based on Salesforce.
Enabling the Salesforce CRM to interact with the legacy parts of Covage's information system, Mulesoft's AnyPoint solution is deployed in SAAS. It allows the upstreaming of flows from the legacy to the CRM, to place and follow orders inside it.
Written in Python and based on microservices that respond to each protocol, the architecture implemented by SpikeeLabs allows a progressive deployment of the different protocols as well as their variations depending on the operators.
SpikeeLabs has developed a tool to ensure the quality of new data when it is inserted, i.e. when a new network is implemented. It allows to cross-check existing data with data from different geographical repositories.
With a team of 3 to 4 people, the DX Task Force has a unique double expertise, both functional, by understanding the data in the different systems of a telecom operator, and technical with the ability to detect and correct consistency errors.
